Size: 142,534 ha. Breeding ground for about 60 cranes.
Khanka nature preserve
Loaction: Khanka-Sea, Prymorski Krai, Russia.
Size: 136,000 ha. Breeding ground for 10 cranes and habitat for stopovers during migration.
Daruski nature preserve
Location: Chita Oblast, Russia.
Size: 136,800 ha. Breeding ground for about 120 cranes.
Monol Daguur Strctly, protected area
Location: Dornod Province, Mongolia.
Size: 210,000 ha. Breeding ground for about 30 cranes.
About 3,000 to 4,000 White-naped Cranes migrate to China for the winter.

Size: 381 ha. Wintering ground for about 150 and habitat for stopovers during migration for about 600 cranes.

Size: 40 ha. Wintering ground for about 350 cranes.
Izumi-Takaono Wildlife Protection area
Location: Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefeutre.
Size: 842 ha. Wintering ground for about 2,000 to 3,000 cranes.
