Presentations, Workshops and Posters
1. Information
Presentations and lectures must be given within the time limits specified in the programme. The chairman will, without exceptions, interrupt the presentation when the time is out.
All oral presentations must be in English (without translation).
If you would like to give an oral presentation at any of the events above or would like to contribute with a poster, please inform us and state the title of your presentation or poster on the Registration form.
2. Oral presentations
The Conference will emphasize the Presentations from the National Crane Working Groups and presentations during the Workshop sessions and the results of the Workshops.
Oral presentations (20 min + 10 min for questions) will also be possible on Thursday the 10th ("Cranes in agricultural environments"). See the First Announcement papers: 4.Cranes in agricultural environments. Please, state the title of your presentation on the Registration form.
Only two hours on Friday the 11th, after the official opening, are reserved for plenary lectures.
If you have some information that might be of general interest for all participants in the plenary meeting, please inform us and state the title of your presentation on the Registration form.
Specifications:
a) Presentations from the National Crane Working Groups (20 minutes each and 5 minutes for questions).
Each National Group must decide, in advance, who should give the presentation for the group.
Each National Group presents:
- Short information on the participants from the country.
- A presentation of the situation and estimated population size of the Common Crane Grus grus in the Country.
- Results of recent investigations and other activities.
- Future activities for protection and investigation of the Crane Grus grus.
- Other important topics.
Please, state the title of your National presentation on the Registration form.
b) Oral presentations at the Workshops (20 minutes and 10 minutes for questions).
Workshops:
- Estimation of population sizes, surveying methods.
- Colour-ringing and radiotracking.
- Information and reporting by Internet and e-mail.
- Cranes in agricultural environments, damages, food and refuges.
- Organisation and activities of the European Crane Working Group. ECWG Newsletter. ECWG Internet home page.
Please, state the title of your presentation on the Registration form.
3. Posters
If you would like to contribute with a poster, please inform us and state the title on the Registration form. The space available for each poster is about 1 m x 1.5 m.

4. Proceedings
Proceedings with full-length papers will be published for the presentations during the session "Cranes in agricultural environments" on Thursday 10th only (see the attached WORD file with more information about this day). However, the abstracts of all presentations will be published and distributed to the participants on arrival at the Conference.
NOTE that abstracts should be submitted by 1 February 2003 to be included in this issue.
